A guiding principle is a fundamental truth that serves as a foundation for our beliefs and behaviors. At the 100 Year Lifestyle, freedom is a guiding principle in living 100:100. We have written about the principle of health freedom from many perspectives.  You can read those perspectives for yourself in the links at the end of this article. Why do we keep talking about your health freedom? Because it is one of the most basic, guiding principles of the 100 Year Lifestyle.

No One Size Fits All

When it comes to things like lifestyle and wellness, no two people are exactly alike and there is no one size fits all solution when it comes to health. That’s why your freedom (the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action) when it comes to your health is of the utmost importance.

These past few years have created challenges for many people. Many of us have found ourselves disengaging from traditional healthcare systems in this country. Fear-based pharmaceutical approaches to health have been seen for what they are in recent years, as are many of the allopathic medical establishment representatives, both individuals and organizations.

Challenges Lead to Freedom

Luckily, for many of us those challenges ultimately led to freedom—health freedom. People have instead turned to the drug-free health care system which can deal with all functions of the body—chiropractic care. By keeping your spine and nervous system healthy, you free yourself from the crisis healthcare rollercoaster. Instead, you engage in true prevention which has nothing to do with treating symptoms and everything to do with making sure your body’s innate intelligence is continuously expressed through your nervous system.

Interference is Not Freedom

Your nervous system controls or sends messages to every other system in your body including your immune, endocrine, and digestive systems. If your nervous system becomes obstructed, if it is no longer free to send clear, strong messages to the rest of our body, you experience interference. Interference, if not dealt with, leads to loss of health.

By clearing nerve interference your chiropractor can restore your body’s innate intelligence and restore your nervous system’s communication with the rest of your body. That, my friends, is freedom!

The Secret of Freedom

So let me ask you this. Have you ever had the basic workings of your body described so plainly by anyone other than a chiropractor? Why do you think that is?

The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant.

Maximilien Robespierre

Whether your understanding of your body’s innate intelligence and your health freedom is new to you, old news, or a work in progress, now is the time to appreciate and celebrate! Make freedom is a guiding principle in living your 100:100. Your body knows what to do, and you know how to support it by living your 100 Year Lifestyle.

Reason to Celebrate!

This Independence Day we hope that health freedom and living 100:100, at 100% for 100 years or more, are among the freedoms you are celebrating! If you want something else to celebrate, find a chiropractor near you to help you on your wellness journey!
